Filial Play Therapy works with both the parent and the child. Its goal is to train the parent to follow the child's lead in the play using therapeutic techniques.

Theraplay® is a structured play therapy for children and their parents. Its goal is to enhance attachment, self-esteem, trust in others and joyful engagement.
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an extremely effective treatment for children as well as adults who have had traumatic experiences.
A Message from Debra May, Play Therapist
Play is a child's natural language used to explore and express thoughts and feelings. A child or young person will use the play to make sense of their muddled and nasty feelings about any previous negative experiences or relationships. Once the child has been able to make sense of what has happened to him/her, he/she will usually spontaneously find their own unique solution to any problems.
I will work to develop a bespoke package of child and family play therapy that will help both the parent(s) and child understand each other differently, and in doing so improve their relationship. I truly believe that after many years of working with children and families …family works!
